Namaste Parvati Victoria,
Today the moon is in a waxing gibbous phase. It is almost 80 % crescent and the full moon is in five days, on Tuesday, November 12. As Bonjovi says, this is a time to “Keep the faith!” As the moon in growing in fullness, it’s a time to pause and observe what is happening in your life. You’ve done lots of work this month already, so take some time now for self care!
Take a nap, get a pedicure,
massage,
go for a hike or ride your bike
and
KEEP THE FAITH.
This past weekend was the second annual Chakra Activation Weekend Yoga Retreat at the Himalayan Institute in the Poconos. Although, the retreat covered most of the information from last year, this year’s retreat was quite different. Below is a picture of our Chakra Activation group on a nature walk in the beautiful Pocono mountains.

In addition to the chakras, we focused on:
Yoga Sutra 1.2
Yogas Citta Vrtti Nirodah (Sanskrit)
Complete Mastery Over The Roaming Tendencies Of The Mind Is Yoga.
The Secret Of The Yoga Sutra Samadhi Pada, Written By The Spiritual Head Of The Himalayan Institute, Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD, Goes On To Explain That There Are Five States Of The Mind Which Are:
1) Disturbed
2) Stupefied
3) Distracted
4) One-pointed
5) Perfectly controlled
The mind caught in any of the first three states is trapped in darkness with worry and grief.
The path out of the first three states is to focus on the fourth state of one-pointedness with the element of purity. The mind focused one-pointedness becomes full of clarity and peace.

To Focus On One Pointedness, Repeat The Sacred Empowerment Mantra Below:

In our mind lives both the sinner and the saint. This sutra teaches us that what we think, we become. When we focus on negative energy, we become entangled in murky darkness. However, if we focus on love, light and faith, we become and attract love, light and faith.
To go from focusing on the negative to the positive requires truly looking at the negative and being with the source of those thoughts. That part can be tricky, scary and extremely uncomfortable; BUT, when one can enter the darkness or shadow self, and keep polishing the gem that is hiding in each chakra, then the inner luminosity shines forth. We are not glossing over the darkness but transforming it into truth. We are luminous beings. We are Christ Consciousness, that means that Christ is in each of us. Yoga teaches us that the Divine is within.
You may want to consider my Sacred Empowerment Mentoring, Journey of the Chakras, Journey of the Soul course. It brings faith into each chakra to find the gem within each area of your life for inner knowing, strength, purpose, inner power and confidence to bust through blocks and fulfill dreams. If you would like to find your inner luminosity, schedule a Discovery Session. At the end of our session we can discuss more about Sacred Empowerment Mentoring.

Dusk In Autumn
Sara Teasdale – 1884-1933
The moon is like a scimitar,
A little silver scimitar,
A-drifting down the sky.
And near beside it is a star,
A timid twinkling golden star,
That watches likes an eye.
And thro’ the nursery window-pane
The witches have a fire again,
Just like the ones we make,—
And now I know they’re having tea,
I wish they’d give a cup to me,
With witches’ currant cake.
