Sivananda Yoga Ranch in the Catskills

Namaste Parvati Victoria, Recently, I returned from Sivananda Yoga Ranch in the Catskills where I was on Sadhana, a spiritual retreat. I was there during the Navarartri, the nine night celebration of the Goddess. Each night the Brahman/Priest would lead us on a puja, which is an act of worship for three different Goddesses. The first three nights were in honor of Goddess Durga for courage. The next three nights were in honor of Lakshmi for self acceptance and abundance. And the final three nights were in honor of Goddess Saraswati for higher wisdom!

While there I woke up at 5:30 a.m. daily, chanted, practiced yoga, did pranayama (breath practices), meditated, ate amazing vegetarian meals, did karma work in the kitchen, chanted again, participated in Navarartri, the nine night celebration of the Goddess, and hiked a trail.

here’s what I found on the trail…

Pahimam!

Gigantic Uprooted Tree: These roots remind me of my own life and what it feels like to be re-routed again in a different, deeper me. For life is a continous cycle of birth and death and rebirth.

Trail Markers: This Om trail marker reminds me of the signs the universe sends us through synchrinicity and intuition. When we follow these signs, our life feels supported. We are able to recognize these signs through taking the time to slow down, listen to our innerself, and take time each day to connect with Source.

And, I found a stronger, more sacred me. As I move forward, thoughts and ideas which I was struggling with and uncertainties I had, begin to fade away, into the background!

40 Day Manifesting Abundance Meditation
